(P)inspired by Pinterest - The Whale Trifecta

This is a really cute set of paintings that someone pinned from an Etsy store. I had three small unfinished paintings that had taken a wrong turn so I prime the canvas and painted over it. I wish I had sanded off the excess from the under-paintings but it adds some interesting texture that has grown on me. I used cheap acrylic craft paint and mixed my own colours to get it just right.

The blue in my bottom painting looks vivid - it is not as bright as it appears. It is a similar blue to the one in the other painting. I made my top painting more of a robin's egg blue to match the curtains and placemats in my dining area (notice I did not refer to it as a dining room).

This was a very easy project - it took me about 30 minutes not including drying time for the different layers.

The whole project cost me $0 because I had everything lying around.
